Continuing
the success in Ho Chi Minh City in 2019, on June 23, 2020, Facebook in
association with the Office of the "Supporting National Innovative
Start-up Ecosystem" project (Project 844) and CoderSchool launched the
"Developer Circles Vietnam Innovation Challenge" in Hanoi. As part of
the “Facebook for Innovation” of the “Facebook for Vietnam” campaign,
the training program, with competitions for IT students, aims to equip
young developers with essential skills in the digital age.
In
response to the project "Supporting National Innovative Start-up
Ecosystem to 2025" (Project 844) to train and enhance the capacity of
the innovative startup ecosystem, Facebook and CoderSchool will provide a
6-month training course for 3rd-and-4th-year students and students who
graduated no more than 2 years in the information technology industry in
Hanoi with an aim to train over 300 young IT programmers majoring in
product management, data science and React Native.
The program
targets to develop highly qualified human resources. This is also the
top priority in building and developing the national innovative startup
ecosystem. Equipping a professional educational foundation and improving
working skills for students is extremely important, especially for
information technology students. Developer Circles Vietnam Innovation
Challenge, which is part of the "Facebook for Vietnam" campaign, will
actively contribute to fostering domestic technology talents, attract
the participation of Vietnamese enterprises and technology groups.
Therefore, it promotes the development of the national innovative
startup ecosystem and supports the Government for the successful
implementation of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 goals.
In addition to
the training courses, students participating in the program in Hanoi
will have a chance to solve real business challenges issued by industry
partners such as FPT Software, Viettel Digital Services, Teko Vietnam,
Tripi, FSI x EPU and TnTech, as well as receive instruction to create
innovative products that help solve actual problems.

great success as 357 young developers were trained and upskilled and 80
graduates landed internships or junior roles at companies including
Chotot, FE Credit, Sendo, Haravan, and Momo. This positive result is the

students in Hanoi. With nearly 7,000 Developers Circles members across
the country, our local community is growing stronger and actively

One
notable difference of Developer Circles Vietnam Innovation Challenge in
Hanoi compared to 2019 is the unique track for women, #TechbyHer.
Aiming to foster equal opportunities for women and promote women's
participation in programming, #TechbyHer is open to 50 women in their
3rd or 4th year of college or new graduates with up to two years of
experience, no IT background required, together forming teams to build
Messenger bots.

Developer
Circles Vietnam Innovation Challenge in Hanoi is part of the
#fb4Innovation pillar of the "Facebook for Vietnam" campaign, one of
2020’s key programs of the social media giant in Vietnam. By introducing
#fb4Innovation, Facebook hopes to boost the digital transformation in
Vietnamese companies through training on key Facebook technologies.
Besides, Facebook also wishes to nurture the next generation of
Vietnamese tech talents by giving tech students training on innovative
technology and job-readiness skills.
